Barbican Events Photography
I was commissioned by my client to provide Barbican events photography and creatively capture their corporate drinks reception. My client, an architecture firm, is a proud sponsor of the Barbican exhibition Modern Experimental Tender Passionate Couples. Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception in the Garden room that leads out into the infamous conservatory to celebrate the opening of the exhibition.
If you’ve never been to the Barbican Centre, it is a performing arts centre in the Barbican Estate of the City of London and the largest of its kind in Europe. The Centre hosts classical and contemporary music concerts, theatre performances, film screenings and art exhibitions. It also houses a library, three restaurants, and a conservatory. It is famous for it’s iconic brutalist architecture and is a Grade II listed building.
The Barbican conservatory is such a cool space and it looked even more incredible lit up at night! The conservatory space feels like a tropical oasis, tucked away in the concrete of the Barbican with around 2000 species of tropical plants and 100s of species of tropical fish. I loved the tropical flowers and huge palms. It was also great to capture some cool atmospheric photos of the venue from the outside looking in and of course the usual event shots of guests enjoying themselves.
If you like my relaxed and contemporary style of corporate event photography and would like to know more, you can find all the details right here.
If you are hosting an upcoming event at the Barbican or any other London venue and looking for an event photographer please do get in touch with your brief.
